DESIGN THEORY

I grew up on the East End of Long Island where water informs everyday life. As a designer, I have always drawn inspiration from beach-related elements, such as the contrast of soft white sand against deep blue hues and the occasional pop of color from a bright yellow umbrella or classic striped towel. First and foremost, I believe that personal and professional spaces should serve as oases and create a feeling of comfort and relaxation. While Iā€™m generally drawn to blues, greens and warm tones, I ultimately work with each client to create a base of complementary shades that serve as a canvas for an ever-evolving narrative. I believe that a home should tell a story, and work with the client to choose items that communicate this story, from a nostalgic conversation starter to a stack of favorite art books. Deeply personal touches ultimately make a room a home.

PROCESS

Each project is a discovery process between myself and the client. When I begin the design process, I take time to understand the client, including their likes, dislikes, goals and even quirks. I want to know what makes them feel rejuvenated and at peace. I then work closely with each client to develop a space that speaks to their own unique needs.

ABOUT

Since graduating from Parsons School of Design in 2015, I have worked alongside AD100 designers and architects, as well as acclaimed craftsmen and artists. I have worked on projects around the country, from the far stretches of the Pacific Ocean to back home on the coast of Long Island. I founded my firm in 2018 to bring my love of design into the homes and spaces of like-minded, colorful people.
